In his early years of training, Fred had the privilege of training under Choreographer, Artistic Director and Professor of Hip Hop Dance- Rennie Harris, a pioneer in Hip Hop Dance culture, even apprenticing with his dance company RennieHarrisPureMovement for a short time. Through Rennie, Fred had the honor of training with some of the pioneers of Hip Hop Dance including: Don "Campbellock" (Lockin') , Crazy Legs, Mr Wiggles/ Rock Steady Crew (B-boying, Popping and Tutting), Suga Pop, Poppin' Pete/Electric Boogaloos (Popping) .
After many years of experience seeing people set free physically, emotionally, and spiritually through dance, Fred is convinced of the power of movement that brings personal freedom
and its impact on those who experience it.
He is an avid partner with schools, learning institutions and community organizations since 2006, where he has been creating, teaching and developing programs to "reach and teach" students
of all ages and backgrounds.
His commercial credits and appearances include television and live-billboard commercials, music videos, television shows and countless stage productions. Most recently Fred appeared with a group he directed, along with his wife, on Paula Abdul’s CBS Dance competition show, “Live to Dance.”
Fred is the co-writer, co-director and choreographer for a full length feature film titled "BRIGHT ONES" that hits theaters this Spring 2019.
Among other projects, Fred is currently working on completing a book and has recently launched FREED MOVEMENT ACADEMY, an online dance course platform where students of any age can take class online.
